Well, besides cry. There are some necessary steps you should take after you are involved in a car accident.
According to Edmunds, some things you should do are:
- Keep an emergency kit in your car. (Check back later this week for my post on what to include in your emergency kit.)
- Exchange information with the other driver. Get their name, address, insurance info, phone number, driver’s license and plate number.
- Take photos of the accident.
- File an accident report.
Once you’ve done the necessary stuff, you can then bring your vehicle or have it towed to McCarthy Collision Center. The McCarthy Collision Center services all vehicles and has been awarded in the top 15 Collision Centers in the country.
I talked with Body Shop Managers Dane Griffin and Curt Kellogg about some of the things that sets McCarthy apart.
McCarthy’s offers a Lifetime Warranty on all paint and labor, for the original owner. That’s confidence!
Our Collision Center is doing their duty to be green, too! Instead of a solvent based paint, which not only smells bad but is bad for the environment as well, we offer a “water based paint.” The water based paint is the exact paint that the factories use on the vehicles when they are first painted. So in sense, you are receiving a “true factory finish.”
And our technicians and appraisers are highly trained Gold Class Professionals.
“It is truly an artwork, what the guys do here,” Griffin said.
Have you ever had to use a collision center? What brought you there?
