To help prevent your vehicle from being stolen:

  2. Always take your keys with you — even if you’re running in to buy a toothbrush.

It’s important to note that most newer model vehicles have anti-systems pre-installed. Nissan offers a vehicle security system which actually disables the vehicle if any object, besides the programed key is used. Hyundai offers an anti-theft system which sets the alarm off if a window is broken, hood is lifted or handle is pulled on a locked vehicle. And Chevrolet provides OnStar, which is equipped with Stolen Vehicle Assistance that can locate your car and send a signal to disable the car from starting.

Does your car have an anti-theft system? How do you like it?
