Okay, okay … now what? After you have shed a few dozen tears, it’s time to wipe those eyes and get a move on.
The most important factor here is safety. So, first and foremost – make sure your vehicle is as far off the road as it can be. Now get on your phone and make the appropriate calls. Let someone know where you are. And you should always have access to a list of emergency phone numbers. So keep a list in your glovebox!
If you’re one of those “DO IT YOURSELF” people, I recommend participating in some roadside assistance courses. Learn the basics; how to change a flat, jump start a car … etc. I did! Who knows, maybe I’ll host one in the near future. But for now, look at one of my first “how to” videos on jumpstarting a car.
Oh and check out my past post on “key essentials to keep in your emergency kit“. It’s always better to be safe than sorry!
So, what have I left out? You’re stuck on the side of the road … what do you do next?
