With the snowflakes on the horizon, I want to make sure your vehicle is winter ready! So, let’s take a look inside your car.
It’s just as important to protect the exterior of you car as it is under the hood. To start, spend the money and/or time to complete a full detail – wax included. If you think about about the amount of abuse the outside of you car takes in the wintertime; ice, snow and salt, it’s important to have a fresh start.
Now moving inside:
- test batteries and electrical system
- tire time (winter tires? all-season tires?- know what you got)
- check and change fluids
- working wipers
It’s also very important to include a Emergency Car Kit, especially in the dead cold of winter season.
Here’s some of what the experts say you should have in your car:
- Pocket knife and small tool box
- Jumper cables
- A spare tire and a jack for tire
- Flashlight with spare batteries
- Flares
- Rags
- Blankets
- Bottled water
- First aid kit
- Snacks
- An extra set of clothing
From blankets to flash lights to flares; you want to make sure you are prepared for just about anything.
