Winning the Race!

“Stay off the grass!”

Those four words became second nature to me last weekend at the “K,” where we rallied together for a 5K in support of Variety, the Children’s Charity.

The only thing that compares to The Royals’ dedication to keeping an immaculate field is the commitment of the nearly 2,000 runners, walkers and strollers who came out bright and early to support a cause near and dear to my heart: helping children. Proceeds from the 5K will benefit Variety, which helps Greater KC kids with disabilities to stay on the move with specialized equipment, such as vans with lifts, adaptive bicycles, wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, and more.

What a great place Kansas City is! We were presented with a check for $50,000 for the kiddos! Thanks to all who came out and sweated the race with us. Stay tuned for more fun events with Young Variety.
