Detailing your ride

I think it’s more of a guy thing, but both my brothers are OBSESSED with cleaning their cars. With special shammies and expensive cleaning supplies, you’ll catch my brothers on their driveways once a week!

How does McCarthy detail cars?

After speaking to the Manager of our Vehicle Preparation Department, Kirk Rogers, I learned there’s a lot more to it than running it through the wash. Every pre-owned vehicle goes through the same detailing process, starting with an entire wash down of the vehicle, including the engine and undercarriage. Next, Kirk and the boys shampoo the carpets and steam clean the interior; including bed-liner and cup-holders. Afterward, they use a special cleaner on the door jamb, tires and engine (aka make them shiny!). Next is the polishing and to finish it off, they apply a coat of wax.

Kirk Rogers has been detailing vehicles for the last 16 years and has 13 men working under him, apart of two separate crews working from 7 a.m. – midnight everyday.
