Choosing a new car can be quite an overwhelming experience. There are SO many options out there, and unless you’re a car buff who reads up on the latest models on a regular basis, you could be left in the dust when it comes to knowing about car updates, new technology and the pros/cons of various models.
Though I’ve written other posts about how to decide on a new or used car and such, I thought it might make it even easier to create a quiz! (And a little more fun, too.)
This quiz allows you to answer simple questions about your lifestyle and habits, and then it spits out an answer for you, so you don’t even have to take too much time thinking about what kind of car is right for you. The less information you have to digest, the better — right?
Okay, let’s dive into the quiz!
1. In an average week, I find myself driving the car:
a. every day, to and from work, then running several errands
b. every day, to and from work
c. every few days
d. only on a rare occasion when I need to travel a long distance
2. My commute to work is:
a. an hour or more
b. 30 mins
c. 15 mins or less
d. I work from home or don’t work
3. When it comes to space, I need a car with:
a. A compact design so I can park in small spots
b. Average seating for a few people
c. Average amount of seating, but lots of room for my gear
d. Seating for a large group, plus lots of cargo space
4. I’m most interested in driving a car with this perk:
a. Great gas mileage
b. The latest technology gadgets like built-in GPS and parking assistance
c. A reputation for a long life and reliability
d. Speed and agility
5. I’m most attracted to these types of automotive brands:
a. Japanese cars
b. American-made cars
c. European cars
d. Anything exotic or rare
All right, the quiz is over! Just five simple questions can really narrow in on the type of car for you. Now, read on for your results.
If you answered:
Mostly As: You live a fast-paced life and spend a lot of time on the road. You heavily rely on your car to get you around, but you don’t want to be packing it full of people and cargo. A compact car with high fuel efficiency is the perfect fit for you, like the Nissan Leaf or Toyota Prius.
Mostly Bs: You are a pretty average driver, looking for a fuel-efficient car that still has reasonable space and practicality for every day life. You don’t want to sacrifice space for the absolute best efficiency, so a midsize car like a Toyota Camry is a great pick to fit your lifestyle.
Mostly Cs: You spend time in the car, but you also bring quite the load along with you, whether it’s a whole crew of people or gear for your adventures. An SUV or minivan like the Chevy Tahoe or Suburban will be big enough for your life!
Mostly Ds: You don’t see cars as the vehicle to get you to adventure, you see them as the adventure themselves — as you should! A sports car that’s fun to drive and even more fun to admire is right up your alley, like the Chevy Camaro or Corvette!
