There are a few things you may not realize you are doing that are hurting the value of your car.

High Mileage. Although, part of the fun of owning your own car is deciding where you want to go, and how far, continuing to rack up miles can seriously hurt you in the long term. Even if your car runs great, higher mileage numbers can make a future buyer feel uneasy.

Aftermarket wheels and lights. They are a fun and easy way to customize your car, but these simple modifications can make a buyer turn their head the other way when the time comes to resell your vehicle.

Paint job. Surprisingly, something as small as the color of the paint can affect your car’s value. Any color other than black, silver, white, and red can become less appealing in the future. When repainting your car, remember to keep it to the basic palette.

History of damage. If there are recurring problems or a history or a severe accident damage can scare a buyer away. Make sure to take care of any problems before you try reselling your vehicle.
