It’s great to remember the wonderful women who helped build the auto industry, but there are revolutionary women changing the world of cars today. One of those women is Danica Patrick. Danica debuted at the Indianapolis 500 in 2005 and finished in fourth place, astounding the masses.
She is one of the most famous women race car drivers in NASCAR, and that’s not just because she’s gorgeous. She dominates the race track and has a long list of accomplishments to back her up. For example, she is the first woman to win an IndyCar race has the highest finish of any woman in NASCAR. She also holds the highest finish of any woman competing in the Indy 500; she took third in 2009. Danica later decided to leave the Indy Circuit and focus all of her attention on NASCAR.
She has overcome a massive amount of criticism and bias. Many claim Danica has cruised through to popularity because of her looks and her sponsorship with GoDaddy. Danica has handled the criticism without blinking an eye and continues to speed past her competitors. She also continues to be a great role model for women in the auto industry everywhere, proving that you can be a beautiful and driven woman as well as a killer race car driver.
