I want to know!

I want to know about cars … and you probably want to know a bit about me.

If you’ve seen my TV spots, you know I went all over Kansas City asking people all kinds of questions about their cars. But you probably don’t know why I’m doing this. So I put together a video to explain why I’m asking so many questions.

Hmm, what else is there to say?

My favorite day is Sunday and I live for fashion. Food is my second calling and clean sheets makes everything a little better.  I wish I could sing like the lead from “Glee,” and sometimes, I like dogs more than people.

Which brings us back to the Web site. What am I doing here and why do I want to know? Here is it: I want to find a way to do business better; to make buying a car FUN (which it should be). I want to make my father proud by contributing something myself. I want to reach women (seeing that I am one) and give people one name to remember.

So welcome! Take a look around, and when you get a chance, send me a message, question or story. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Lauren – I just bought a new Hyundai Elantra at McCarthy Hyundai in Olathe. Like most women out there, I would rather CUT MY EYELASHES than buy a new car. I actually shopped around at other area dealerships and walked away with the same feeling – ick, I need to take a shower. Used car dealer city! I was so discouraged I figured I would table the idea until I got my stomach back. My husband really encouraged me to do my shopping online, so I sent an Email through McCarthy’s website inquiring about the Elantra. Kim Warner immediately sent me a response and actually ANSWERED my questions. He even negotiated a trade in value for my old car ONLINE WITHOUT EVEN SEEING IT! It took all the “ick” out of negotiating – I did it all from my living room. When I finally came in to sign the papers and trade in my car it was like meeting an old friend. I truly couldn’t believe how great the whole experience was – and that was after a very unpleasant visit across town to one of the other local dealerships in Kansas City. If more people knew about how easy it was to buy a car from McCarthy you wouldn’t have any left on the lot. Kim and McCarthy changed my whole perspective on buying a car – and as great as my Elantra is, I don’t think I’ll be shopping anywhere else.
